Often a simple, elegant product is the result of a complex sequence of traditional skills.

We thought it would be interesting to devote a segment on our site to revealing some of the craftsmanship hidden beneath the deceptively effortless surface. So here it is.

These photographs show some of the detailed fabrication process of the custom-wrapped leather handrail at Dale. Designer, Andrew Fee worked closely with master saddler Kai Krüger on a unique solution for wrapping the sinuous staircase handrail which curls upward over three stories.
