This carpet was designed for a narrow dining area where a custom table, an Italian Arper bench and Poltrona Frau chairs are a perfect fit. The richly textured background and gestural hand drawn rings of the AUM carpet were inspired by classic modern Italian design.

AUM

The AUM carpet in the dining area of this SOMA Studio urban residence project. The white oak staircase with tapered spindles that extends through three levels of the house was designed by Andrew Fee.

The AUM carpet printed colour chart shows the Dye Master the exact colours to match to when dyeing the Tibetan wool and Chinese. Since digital colours are relative to the screen they are displayed on, a printed version of the colour chart was sent to Kathmandu.
