The DNA Carpet design was based on a scientific illustration of a DNA Strand. Using the technical illustration as a starting point, I painted a graphic image which was then digitized and layered over a textured ground.

The concept of DNA being passed on to the next generation seemed in harmony with the creation of a hand-knotted carpet passed on as a family heirloom.

The DNA Carpet may be produced in a variety of sizes and colour ways.
