As a Canadian it is impossible not to acknowledge the power of the natural landscape in our lives.

Artists like Tom Thompson and the Group of Seven in the east, and Emily Carr and Bill Reid in the west, created works that are icons of our imagination.

For our family the natural landscape meant the cottage at the lake among towering White Pines and rocky island outcrops, fishing off the dock, a cool swim in the heat of a summer's day and hearing the plaintive call of the Loon at night.

This carpet, created for a special family member, is a celebration of those memories.
